U.S. 70 Improvements Traffic Alert August 10-19

From August 10 – 19, the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close SR 1960 between United Storage – Grantham Center and Battleground Antique, Inc. A map showing the location of the road closure can be found here: click here to open link. This work is part of the U.S. 70 Improvements in James City Project.

The detour is necessary to accommodate stormwater pipe installation across SR 1960. Temporary signs will be in place to alert motorists of the road closure. Motorists are reminded to reduce speeds and be attentive as they drive through the work zone. For more information about the project, please see the contact information listed below.
